Presentation
Of Japanese father and Chilean mother, Yuki Yamamoto was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1973, then lived in Kyoto until 1980. He currently lives in Santiago, Chile.
He studied art in the U.C. with mention in restoration. He worked in the painting restoration laboratory of the MNBA (1997-2007).
In a search for personal creation, he attended metal engraving classes in workshop 99 during the years 2002 and 2003.
The need to use color took her to Cristian Abelli's workshop in 2005. From 2008 onwards she leaves the restoration work in the museum to devote herself completely to painting.
Without neglecting the painting, during the years 2012 and 2013 he took the stoneware sculpture workshop by Ricardo Irarrázaval. The three-dimensional work leads her to explore the theme of the house and its significance in more depth. Explore the topic of overlapping, clustering, matrix.
From 2014 to 2016 he attends the metal sculpture workshop of Cristián Arrué. The diversity of materials presents the possibility of establishing a more coherent language among the different techniques, incorporating them into painting.
