
Biography
Hao Liang is a Chinese artist, born in Chengdu, China in 1983. Paying homage to his Chinese heritage through epic landscape depictions produced with traditional painting tools, Liang's work filters the early Chinese artistic style through a contemporary lens. The thematic explorations of Liang's work centers largely on classical poetry, modern literature and film theory.
Liang has exhibited his work at some of the most influential art showcases in the world. These include the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017, the Streams and Mountains without End: Landscape Traditions of China exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
