
Biography
Ren Zhe is a Chinese visual artist, born in 1983. Raised in Beijing, Zhe trained at Tsinghua University’s Academy of Fine Arts, graduating from the school’s Sculpture Department. The artist is now perhaps best known for his stainless steel warrior sculptures depicting soldiers in traditional Chinese military garb. Elsewhere, his art frequently features heroic figures from mythology and classical antiquity.
The artist’s work has featured in exhibitions across the globe, and garnered critical acclaim since the inception of his career in 2005. He has showcased his work in China, New York, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
