Biography
Carlos Alberto Cruz Boix was born June 14, 1949 in Havana, Cuba. He lived in Stockholm, Algiers, Tunisia, Paris and Geneva. He resides in Madrid since 2009.
He received numerous awards and distinctions: in 1973, the First Prize at the National Drawing Salon, Havana, in 1974 the Second Prize of the National Salon of painting, Havana, in1980 the First Prize at the National Salon Carlos Enriquez, Havana.
His works are part of public collections such as that of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana or of the Moderna Museet, Stockholm and private collections in Germany, Belgium, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Spain, USA, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Venezuela.
