Biography
Franjo Klopotan (1938-2004) is a surrealist and naïve painter in Croatia, considered like the master of naive art in Post-war Croatia, present in the Encyclopedia of Croatian Art. He began painting in 1959 and held his first Solo Show in Zagreb in 1963. He lived in Hamburg, Germany, and represented the Federal Republic of Germany at the World Exhibition of Naive Art in Bratislava and Oslo in 1973.
