Graduated in Fine Arts from ISPEJV, in Havana in 2002, specializing in Restoration and Conservation of Mural painting and easel. He has served as a painting professor at the ISPEJV and later as a specialist for the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage, Office of the Historian of the City of Havana (Cuba), between 2003 and 2007. He currently resides in Barcelona and develops most of his projects at Estudio Patterson located in Tarragona. Patterson's artistic practice is based above all on painting, engraving and drawing, but he also explores through exercises that tend more towards sculpture and installation. The poetic substratum of this artist's works is largely nourished by explorations of the fragility of individual and collective memory through the use of different materials, and is articulated from two points of view that converge; On the one hand, he maintains the reality of the islander that he is, and on the other, he incorporates into his artistic expressions the external vision brought about by his frequent changes of residence. In which, without leaving aside his individual proposal, he has established ties and creative dialogues with people from other professional contexts, such as music or audiovisuals, which enriches their creative process. Patterson's work has been exhibited in galleries, biennials, and national and international art fairs. Among these we can highlight: “Printed Memory" (Promo-Arte Latin American Gallery, Tokyo, 2010), “El Patriota" (Barcelona, 2012 and Berlin, 2013), “Memory of Objects & Objects of Memory" (Museum of Arte Orus, Zaragoza, 2014), "As a whole" (Espacio Pangea, Zaragoza 2016), "De Islas..."
