Aurélien Finance

The work of Aurélien Finance is built around absurd invented stories, inspired by reality, myths or children's stories. Whether it is performances in which he stages himself, or creations with colorful shapes, his works divert the textile universe by deconstructing traditional codes. He experiments with ancestral know-how in a playful approach borrowed from humor and poetry. Embroidery, crochet and knitting interest her for their performative, repetitive and cathartic aspect. These creations then become transitional objects from which imaginary characters are born, organic beings, excrescences rescued from a forgotten memory.

Aurélien Finance is a graduate of the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin (HEAR).
