Biography
"If drawing has always been in my nature, then the difference between Nature and Culture is meaningless to me.
Technically, I am very inspired by the flat colors of Fauvism and the Impressionism of Van Gogh. But my intellectual roots lie in the philosophy of Deep Ecology, particularly the writings of Val Plumwood.
I know that I am part of a whole that does not necessarily have meaning but which most certainly has a form. And this form grows within me. I have to get these images out of my head with my hands. But also to dive into what surrounds me, to drown myself in a bath of colors. I associate nuances very instinctively and the more I experience what is within me, the more I listen to what is outside. Painting gives me a sensation that pierces me: a subtle mixture of anger, violence and completeness…
Please note that I am a multimodal artist: I paint but I also compose and write.
