Mero Raja

Rémy Rajaona, alias Méro, is a self-taught artist from Toulouse with an atypical background, rather the opposite of most street artists. In the 2000s, he began his art by experimenting with paintings, collages, graffiti, stencils, on a single support, the canvas. This quickly led him to exhibit in various places, galleries, stores, restaurants or auction rooms, from Toulouse to Bruges through Paris and London.

With time his art evolves towards a more urban art, Méro impregnates himself with the techniques of the street artists by collaborating with a network of graffiti artists. It is an art that pleases since he is the recent winner of the national competition of urban art (Vibration Urbaine Pessac 2021) but he also participated in several events as Destinos Cruzados graffiti a fresco of 20 meters in Madrid; for the Tour de France in partnership with LCL in Toulouse; or on the walls of Senegal with the association Humanitaire MBoro...

Whatever the support, his painting wants to be both plural and authentic, and always borrowed to a research of dynamism. His will being to remain open to various influences, and not to be confined to the label of only one box, he mixes and puts his range of techniques at the service of a current art, reflection of his glance of artist on the world which surrounds him.
