Biography
Joel Harder lives and works between France and Japan. A graduate of the Ensad (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris) and the Bunka Gakuen University in Tokyo, his work is focused on prolonged observation of various environments. Endowed with a substantial technical background thanks to his experiences with masters of arts, Joël works in partnership and in co-creation with people whose practice echoes the multi-sensory projects he undertakes (nose, urban planners, herbalists, leather goods etc.)
His practice has been exhibited at the Grande Halle de la Villette (April 2022), the Cnam (Centre national des arts et métiers, in November 2021), the Paris Design Week (September 2021) etc. He is currently working on two new exhibitions in Paris, including a solo show in 2023.
