Sophie Dumont: The Archaeologist of Memory
Sophie Dumont is a contemporary French artist whose work is a profound exploration of memory, time, and the sedimentation of knowledge. Born in Paris in 1964, she developed a unique artistic signature characterized by the use of palette-knife techniques that give her canvases a sculptural presence and remarkable textural richness.
