Biography
Diving in several seas around the world has imbued this sailor with the true colors of aquatic life.
Born in 1955 in Sète, he learned to swim alone, at the age of 5, first at the bottom then on the surface.
His adolescence, like many, was illuminated by Bombard, Cousteau, Moitessier or Tabarly who communicated this love of the sea to him.
His father, a fine fisherman in class with Brassens, then his brother, a sailor of the Belle Epoque, are no strangers to the affair.
At 6, he wants to become a diver, like the Sétois heavy helmets, which he observes for a long time at the Victory Bridge after class.
He dives solo, from the purchase of his first equipment.
At night he carried out his first rescue on the Etang de Thau, he was only 15 years old.
Merchant navy officer, diver, sports instructor, sea rescuer, business manager, teacher...
After 16 years of sailing, fate forces him to put his bag down.
A few years of gestation, give him the perspective necessary for creation.
He reproduces the beauties of aquatic fauna, which he has so often contemplated in their natural environment, with mixtures of materials such as glass (cold sculpted), marble, metal, stone, wood or sand, added with rope, vestige of wreckage, shell, gorgonian, or coral, which he recovers dead and recolors.
He now wishes, through his creations, to give a boost to the work of his masters, and to communicate to current and future generations, the notion of the fragility of this element which is vital to us, water.
Some works, unfortunately realistic, deal with current issues related to fishing or pollution.
