Biography
In an experimental photographic approach, Ilanit Illouz surveys territories and photographs natural elements. For her Dolines series, she went to the shores of the Dead Sea to photograph the salt concretions. In order to produce images representative of the places she photographs, Ilanit makes pigment prints incorporating salt from the Dead Sea. Her images then become themselves saline concretions, textured and organic.
