Biography
Between strength, finesse and irony, Lysiane D.Coste reveals her palette through everyday life and lived experience, sometimes intimate where familiar subjects and the various disorders and contradictions of family life intertwine, with her as the central character.
Born in Chelles in 1965. After classical training, she is a plastic arts teacher for children and adults. She became a full-fledged artist in 2015.
His inspiration revolves around the things of life and the tastes of others. Lysiane D.Coste paints in her 'veranda workshop' in the middle of a Picardy forest, calm and peaceful, full of light and contrasts according to the seasons.
Colorist, with sometimes exaggerated features, his mixed media paintings on paper are works in themselves. His rarer paintings are evolving. Behind each work, a sometimes theatrical story or an anecdote. Behind each work a funny or dramatic intimacy. A technique which is a mix of different artistic currents in post modernism, expressionism and free figuration where controlled letting go is essential.
