"I paint, yes of course, but above all I glue, I construct, I elaborate, I propose worlds... Above all, I don't want to let the slightest notion of any kind of representation of anything show through.

I'm not here to give the viewer a white cane; my trick is to take his arm and ask him: "And you, tell me what you see!

I do what my hand wants, it throws me a challenge that I sometimes accept, I watch this wave that takes me elsewhere... I'm willing to free myself from everything, but in the rules of art!"
