Biography
Camille Brès (1987) is a French painter who lives and works in Strasbourg, France.
Trained at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin, the artist belongs to this young generation of French painters who are renewing figuration.
She participated in several editions of Regionale in Basel and Strasbourg. Camille Brès also participates in Jeune Création in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, the Puzzle (Thionville) dedicates a room to her in the Entre-Corps exhibition where she exhibits around fifteen works. In 2023, Camille Brès is one of the five artists to represent France at Art2cure during the Time reflections exhibition in Luxembourg.
Camille Brès refers to the painting that preceded her from the Renaissance to contemporary art. She draws the essence of intimate themes and opens onto broader concerns: the exploration of the psyche, feminism or even climate change.
