Biography
Martine Drigues grew up in Paris and married at the age of 20 to an ambitious man who opened several restaurants. While she helped at the restaurants, Martine also gave birth to three children and devoted most of her time to raising them. However, at 32, her life changed dramatically when she suffered a stroke that left her hemiplegic. With half of her body paralyzed and three young children to care for, Martine faced the daunting task of relearning basic skills like walking, speaking, and everyday activities. Despite the frustration, she found solace in art. Martine's journey is a testament to her strength and perseverance. She rebuilt her life using her left hand and continues to create art today at the age of 72.
