Biography
Béatrice Lecomte is a French artist who graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Paris. After working as an art director in the advertising industry, she now uses her eye and talent to create tiny worlds in boxes.
Extremely meticulous, the artist's installations strive to recreate miniature worlds where tender and humorous situations emerge. Inspired by the artistic world, these scenes from life immerse us in the studios of emblematic artists in the history of art, in fantasized exhibitions or retrospectives.
These unique works succeed in subtly referring us to images of collective culture. An invitation to escape reality, the scenographic elements play on scale and present miniature characters evolving amidst immense works.
Béatrice Lecomte has exhibited her creations at the Galerie Isabelle Laverny since 2005.
