Biography

Loic Tarin -Doud.- seeks to identify and convey the stature of modern man within the original natural world, the innate human need for expression, and our propensity to create and transmit myths and legends, this desire to leave a trace, a word, an echo of our experiences.

He views his faces through a kaleidoscope of perspective. His almost cubist portraits are mixed with modern, cold iconography that intertwines with ancestral animal representation.
It externalizes the ephemerality of the subjective perception of the present, and our modest place in time.
His visual language incorporates spontaneous rock figuration to more satirical and cynical urban graffiti/street art expressions. This paradoxical coexistence of ancient memories and contemporary visions forms a kind of anachronistic future vestige that manifests the continuous evolution of the creative act.

Doud lives and works in Brittany.
