The lines, the shapes, the deep colors create a fascinating visual dialogue.
Anto Tomasini was born in Bastia in a time of hope and grew up with a poet father. Citizen
of the Isle of Beauty, he maintains, like any islander, a passion for the history and landscapes of
his island, which developed his artistic sensitivity very early on and pushed him to want to express emotions
which he draws from the rich and luminous decor of the Mediterranean. A trained designer, he mixes
technical and artistic drawing in an architect's office and only started painting at the end of
his studies. From the outset, the pictorial gestures seemed familiar and pleasant to him. He first reproduced the

"Reflections on War", "At the Sources of the Idea", "In the Light of Time", so many themes
and series of paintings having one thing in common: the reference to History and the call to memory.
His works, painted in oil, whether on canvas, wood, paper or cardboard, always seek to
express an emotion rather than "restore a resemblance". For "Reflection on War" by
For example, he carries out research, cross-referencing letters and testimonies from soldiers in order to capture
the atmosphere of the 1914-18 war. Anto Tomasini strives to give us a complete and
deeply sincere of significant events or people, with the aim of consolidating our
projection into the future.
