Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Luc Didier is among the great living post-impressionist painters, whose works sold at Christie's receive a warm and promising reception.
Born in 1954 in Goelzin (Nord), near Douai, Luc Didier is one of the greatest living painters in France. Famous for his images of disappearing landscapes, he first studied with his father and devoted himself to his art from the age of 22. He made his debut in several Salons, including the prestigious Salon des Indépendants in Paris.
Didier's work captivates the viewer with a dazzling technique that reveals, with profound intimacy, the character and natural beauty of France's most beautiful regions. Each subject is imbued with a sense of plenitude, enriched by the painter's memory. His brushstrokes are decisive, his content always generous, each painting a timeless blend of Impressionist heritage and contemporary realism.
Luc Didier generously shares with us these exquisite portraits of the hidden corners, paths, and waterways of rural France. Whether it's an intimate visit to the door of a fisherman's house on the Arcachon basin, the clarity of the air on a beautiful summer's day in Dennevy, or the scent of pine on an enchanting path in Corbigny, we are transported by the brilliance of his technique and the passion of his art.
His paintings have been acquired by discerning patrons from around the world, from France to New Zealand, via England and other European countries.
