Biography
Charlotte Brunstein is a French photographer born in 1978 who lives & works in Paris, France. Her work unfolds within a sensitive space where the image seeks to make tangible a vibration, to reveal what lies beneath the surface, in the unspeakable. For her, photography is a meeting place between the visible and the invisible, this in-between space that escapes the eye but allows itself to be perceived through feeling. Influenced by painting, she conceives images as presences. Pictures do not describe, they suggest by inviting an inner resonance, a journey to the heart of an intimate and intuitive territory. Each photograph is conceived as an experience rather than a simple representation. It definitely opens a passage to an elusive yet fundamental subjective space.
