Bryan Magnin-Feysot

France

Where sight disappears, emotion takes over.

Biography

Born on February 3, 1995, Bryan Magnin-Feysot has developed a practice grounded in inspiration and perseverance.
Initially introduced to charcoal, he learned to work with the interplay of light and shadow. He then turned to oil painting, a medium that allows him to shape his subjects over time and explore a richness of color beyond black and white.
Influenced by classical chiaroscuro, he composes images with strong contrasts, creating a constant tension in his canvases.
His painting is based on the transformation of the figurative: the dense, organic matter gradually invades the form. The body then becomes a support, allowing a more abstract presence to express itself.
Without narrative or ideological message, his work seeks neither to denounce nor to advocate. It offers a direct and frontal encounter with the image: a presence in tension, where abstract matter takes precedence over the body itself.
