Clarisse Leardi

Clarisse Leardi lives and works in Saint-Étienne. A graduate of the École supérieure d'art et design de Saint-Étienne in 2021, she has developed a pictorial practice attentive to questions of representation and materiality. Using motifs from everyday life—objects, fabrics, tapestries, or still lifes—she explores the relationship between model, gesture, tool, and support. Her works take various forms, from oil paintings on canvas to pastel drawings, and even airbrushed reverse glass paintings, where surfaces and textures are revealed through plays of transparency. She has also been an assistant to the artist Vladimir Skoda since 2017.
