Pierre Mouné

Since 1993, Pierre Mouné, born in 1951 (a former student of the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris), has devoted himself to painting. His diverse professional background has resulted in canvases that reflect his many influences, ranging from figurative to abstract.

His artistic activities in La Baule led him to create paintings on the theme of the sea and its environment (seascapes, sailboats, beach huts). He developed a series of small paintings dedicated to fish: these are stylized, colorful, and sometimes have a mischievous, sulky, aggressive, plump, or sunny expression. They are the culmination of a fun and enriching experience involving research into the composition of materials; the painting technique is mixed and textured.
