Aude Gourichon (O'd)

'I tirelessly pursue movement: my drawings, executed from life, seek to capture the sensation to the point of abstraction, whilst my photographs, taken against dyed backgrounds, blend different materials to reveal the beauty of Nature.'

Trained in photography and video at the École des Beaux-Arts, my approach to movement is closely aligned with that of Marcel Duchamp. My drawings extend into engraving, lithography, photography, painting, sculpture and video within a poetic universe. My work explores the connections between humankind and nature, as well as ecological and social issues, with a particular focus on water.

A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts, O'd is an intaglio printmaker, photographer and teacher of printmaking and cyanotype. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions, at art centres and in numerous events across France and Europe. Since 2023, she has been in the 'Art et Mer' residency with the Ministry of Culture in Mayotte for her printed marine herbarium. Shortlisted for the SCAM's 2025 photography and drawing grant, she will continue to hold exhibitions in Paris, Arles and La Baule in 2026, as well as undertaking artist residencies in Bali and Mayotte.
