Description
This etching explores the boundary between figuration and abstraction.
Here, the contours of a cut fruit are suggested, revealing a complex radial structure.
Black and white emphasizes the raw texture of the paper and the density of the ink.
The line fragments to suggest the movement and fragility of life.
The minimalist approach strips the subject of all artifice.
The composition focuses on the organic essence of the material.
This work is part of a deep reflection on the link between human and nature.
The technical precision of the line dialogues with areas of grainy saturation.
The visual balance rests on the contrast between the central circle and the textured background.
The print is dated 2026 and presented in a sober black frame.
Presentation
'I tirelessly pursue movement: my drawings, executed from life, seek to capture the sensation to the point of abstraction, whilst my photographs, taken against dyed backgrounds, blend different materials to reveal the beauty of Nature.'
Trained in photography and video at the École des Beaux-Arts, my approach to movement is closely aligned with that of Marcel Duchamp. My drawings extend into engraving, lithography, photography, painting, sculpture and video within a poetic universe. My work explores the connections between humankind and nature, as well as ecological and social issues, with a particular focus on water.
