Biography
Mélina Delbert is a French photographer whose work explores reality by playing with its displacements, ambiguities, and poetic part.
Her photography navigates between staged compositions, landscapes, the animal world, and scenes captured in public spaces. Rather than sticking to a single genre, she builds series in which the image becomes the starting point for a story, an emotion, or a question.
Her work gives important place to détournement and double reading. An ordinary object can become a landscape, a daily scene can take on an absurd or poetic dimension, while nature and the animal world become the support for more intimate emotions.
With Screw York, she builds an imaginary city from industrial objects and tells, in four photographs, a cycle of imbalance, destruction, and rebirth. The series questions the place of man in his environment and the possibility of a new balance after the chaos.
Her work has been presented in several exhibitions and distinguished in international photography competitions.
