Presentation

Not easy to write about yourself! Materials, colors, transparencies and lights to provoke your emotions. She took courses at the School of Plastic Arts in Paris to study painting, drawing, modeling, graphics and art history. Les Ateliers de Malou in Brussels gave him the means to develop personal research. For a while, she will be general public press secretary in the decoration industry. The study of the paintings of two great major artists: Nicolas De Stäel and Mark Rothko brought him a certain perspective on the abstraction of forms, and on the vibration of colors. In an intermittent and repeated succession of constructions and deconstructions, she scratches, crushes, stretches the paste of colors with a knife. His gesture can be recognized in a horizontality - from left to right, we can guess his passage. Stealthy. The color shines through in mixtures caused by the back and forth overlays of the tool on the canvas. The movement - independent - not needing mechanics or optical effects, operates by sliding colors on one another. The technique shows a live wound. Yet the image contradicts itself in the idea of a representation of a peaceful, unoccupied, vacant landscape. She invents new architectures of space. She says that she is in "a real need to paint", in "an interior search (...) to go to the depths" of herself. Maybe you have to get lost in this thickness of flattened colors?
