Parvati was born in 1986 in French Guiana, to an Indian father and a French mother, and grew up in the heart of a hippie community growing limes in the Amazon forest. She quickly discovered a passion for drawing and took her first lessons when she arrived in France at the age of 6.
After a literary baccalaureate specializing in plastic arts, Parvati traveled, resumed studies and finally decided in 2014 to devote himself only to painting. She joined the Atelier Larue collective, a group of street artists, and made her first collages in 2015.
His work explores the relationship between the beautiful and the strange. Using the alcoves born from the condemned windows as a frame, Parvati creates a dark and poetic dreamlike universe, in which portraits decorated with feathers, insects, pipes or branches evolve. We also find in her backgrounds stenciled patterns inspired by traditional art from South India, where she has also left some collages.
