Alix Malka was born in the south of France. As a young opera singer, he was struck by the magic of the visual arts which quickly turned into a passion for photography, fashion and film. Graduated in fine arts in Aix-en-Provence, he finished Fashion Design in Esmod, Paris. He worked for many years as artistic director with iconic designer Thierry Mugler creating all aspects of a haute couture house. He played an important role in the House of Mugler, collaborating with many photographers, including masters such as Helmut Newton and Richard Avedon. These inspiring collaborations have played a vital role in making Alix's dream of becoming a photographer come true. In 2002, he moved to New York and began his career as a fashion photographer, quickly getting involved in countless prestigious fashion magazines, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, Rolling Stone, Numero, The Face , ID ... Alix has shot a number of high profile fashion campaigns, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Lanvin, Nina Ricci, Harry Winston, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Guess, Uniqlo, H&M and Nike. He is known for his beauty imagery, aesthetics and attention to detail that have allowed him to work around the world with clients such as MAC Cosmetics, Helena Rubenstein, Maybelline, L'Oreal and Pantene. He also shot fragrance campaigns including Guess Seductive, Byblos and Areva. Alix has built a full roster of celebrities over the years, including Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Kesha, Sophia Loren, Jared Leto, Ashton Kutcher, Sharon Stone, Elle Fanning, Courtney Love, David Guetta, Chloe Moretz. , Lindsay Lohan, Cindy Crawford, Amber Valletta, Milla Jovovitch, Stephanie Seymour, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Louboutin, Laetitia Casta and Monica Bellucci. Her first exhibition was "In Fashion Photo / Art Basel 2009", followed by an exhibition in a Soho gallery in New York in 2010. Alix's images from the Jean Paul Gaultier campaign entitled "Mermaids" have been exhibited in various museums the United States. part of the Gaultier exhibition "The fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier, from the sidewalk to the parade". His directorial debut began with ABC's Vogue USA Haute-Couture, which was a collaboration with Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley with Tom Ford, Madonna and Karl Lagerfeld. He has produced advertisements for clients such as Guess, Thierry Mugler and Areva. Alix divides her time between New York, Los Angeles and Paris.
