Thierry Cardboard is considered to be one of the most important contemporary French painters. He was a precocious talent and started painting when he was 11; at the age of 15, a gallery in Deauville organized his first personal exhibition. From the age of 22 he devoted himself entirely to his painting practice.

His works are very popular and are part of numerous private collectors. They are also present in many museums around the world (United States, Norway, Finland, England, Ireland, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Japan...).
Famous for his marine compositions and his landscapes of the North, he also became interested in the light of the Mediterranean before plunging us into his urban scenes marked by speed and great depths.
