Biography
Julien Airaul was born in 1979, he is a self-taught painter who expresses and realizes his works in separate but complementary currents (abstraction, expressionism and portrait).
His interest for art began at an early age, but due to watercolors and photography. Due to a shake-up in his personal life, painting became a need and an obvious solution and this is when he began his first abstract paintings.
Julien Airault's is part of the lyrical abstraction movement, driven mainly by the Chinese art scene during the second half of the 20th Century. He draws inspiration from Zao Wou-ki and Chu Teh Chun.
