Biography
Claire Marquis was born in 1978; she produces images marked by sensitivity, and says about her work that it is close to childhood, in flashy colors, highlighted by a great simplicity in compositions.
Creating beauty, "enchantment" as the artist says, with the trivial details of a common life, with "small touches" like poppy petals spread on a table or the hand of a baby picking up a paper boat, reveals her genuine artistic talent.
Several of her works have been acquired by the Poitiers Arthotèque.
