Biography
French artist born in 1991, Alexis Dresco works in Paris. Through his creations, he questions the impact of digital technology, particularly on relationships between people, as well as the place of the body in virtual space. His style borrows from street art and free figuration.
"As a teacher of letters by training, I have worked on different media such as video. My artistic encounters have led me to develop a graphic design between symmetry and asymmetry, geometry and deformity, with a reflection on the challenges of our time.
I work by mixing techniques. The bomb remains my favourite tool, but I also use the black marker and acrylic. Black and white is the basis of all my works. It allows me to represent a binary space, meaning the tension between real and virtual space, individualism and collectivism. The addition of colours is done sparingly, each colour having a very specific purpose and a defined symbolism in each painting."
