Biography
Houda Kabbaj was born in Casablanca in 1985.
She studied at the School of Architecture of Paris. She graduated in 2011 and worked for three years, at the HDA Agency- Hugh Dutton Associates- An agency specialized in architecture, design and engineering, which is focused in the development of a synthesis between poetry and physical reality.
In 2014 she decided to dedicate herself fully to photography, a practice that has accompanied her since the age of 16. She works mainly with film photography, where the technical process in inscribed in her method. She defines her work as being introspective and experimental, constructed from intuitive explorations.
Her inspiration comes from her extensive travelling, from Japan to Brazil, her architectural studies has guide her eye, that is why she uses light and material as the center of her creations.
