Biography
After studies in art history and a passage through the restoration of paintings, Fabienne Polge presents himself as a “craftsman recuperator”. His sculptures are made of materials that denounce overconsumption. She recycles these objects which otherwise would have slept or would have been buried: it is the art of recycling that revisits the time of these objects by giving them an unexpected new aesthetic with a gesture of humor.
Sensitive to environmental problems and overconsumption, she is a treasure hunter, whether on the sand of a beach or at the far end of an industrial refuse yard, she is always looking ... And when she chooses to pick up an object (shovels, tools, saws, tricycles wheels, utensils), she immediately imagines what it could be used for in her creation by seeking to give a second life to these abandoned objects.
Born in 1958, Fabienne Polge lives and works in Tours.
