Daniel Burgraeve

DABU (Daniel Burgraeve) was born in 1950 in Lille (France). Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Lille (now extinct), he is always available to receive many influences that range from Pop Art to Expressionism. His latest awards were presented by the European Institute of Contemporary Arts, the National Federation of French Culture or the National Society of Fine Arts at the Carousel Show in Paris. At the same time, this painter strives to transmit his experience and technical know-how through the organization of internships open to all.

DABU likes to think outside the box and especially his family. He makes portraits of famous people. He works the color by the simultaneous contrast technique of the chemist Michel-Eugène Chevreul. Some of his creations also tended to symbolism. Finally, we can see DABU in the streets of our towns and villages in search of posters that take off from their supports to use them in his creations.
