Biography
Amani Tamba is a self-taught painter and designer who has been engaged since the age of 6. Of Cameroonian origin, born in Cameroon, her art is inspired and permeated by the two worlds that have forged her character and her creativity.
After having completed four years of fashion and ready-to-wear studies, she stopped studying to enter the world of work. She began to present her art to the public from 2012 where she exhibited in various events under the pseudonym of Nwekaart.
Then in 2014, it was the opportunity to exhibit at the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Dakar, Senegal.
In 2015, she took a break to focus on new professional projects. She continues to draw and does portraits.
In 2018, she resumed painting in a more mature perspective and the staff by being inspired by colors, society, culture and African cosmogony that she will reshape according to her visions. In the long term, she would like to bring reflection, love for self and others, respect for the environment to the public in order to raise awareness of our loss of humanity in a so-called modern matrix.
