A major figure in French cinema, Romain Duris began his career in 1994 in The Young Peril by Cédric Klapisch, a cult film that marked the beginning of a long collaboration with the director. With more than forty feature films in his filmography, Romain Duris inspires the greatest filmmakers: Tony Gatlif, Christophe Honoré, Jacques Audiard, Patrice Chéreau, Michel Gondry, François Ozon, Érick Zonca, Ridley Scott ...
However, the artist was destined for a future in the world of illustration and the visual arts. Romain Duris expresses since adolescence an imaginary made of black humor and eroticism by the drawing and accumulates pell-mell free sheets, notebooks and scribbled agendas ... A confidential work unveiled for the first time at the Galerie Cinema in September 2017 and in the book Pulp published by Éditions Textuel.
In 2019 Romain Duris presents at the Galerie Cinema Feroce, his second solo show in which the artist always gives a notable place to the human, but this time it is changing bodies that are fiercely asserting themselves. A Féroce book will be published by Editions NOEVE on the occasion of this new exhibition.
