Biography
My name is Eugène Darredeau, born in Nice in 1956, and my painting has its roots in a territory that extends from the verticality of the rock walls to the moving and sonorous expanse of the seaside. From childhood, the drawing came to me as a way to enchant moments of loneliness and bring matter to life. Then the discovery of painting with Van Gogh and the Surrealists.
Then I moved to Paris to study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and since then I have only stopped painting at rare times, for example to take care of my children when they were very youth. Painting has always been my center of gravity, along with music and poetry, because the three are one for me.
