Françoise Cosmao is an expressionist painter, whose aim is to "get straight to the point".
She is fascinated by movement and colors. In order to paint, she needs to travel, become one with the unique atmosphere and be completely bewitched. She has a passion for Brittany and India, and explains it by calling it "a timeless moment". She tries to depict this freedom on the canvas through strength. She refuses to choose between the figurative and abstract aspect, which according to her are only two opposed faces of the same face, she just wants to get straight to the point, and doesn't want to fall for any superficiality.
Her creations emanate warmth, exoticism, fulfillment and dreams.
