Biography
John Parisi is an artist photographer, director, author and musicologist. He has practiced photography, stage, writing and music since childhood, before pursuing university studies.
A musicologist specializing in opera, he has been working for ten years as a researcher and teacher with various French universities and lyric theaters.
Conversely, his artistic practice is self-taught in a dialogue between different media around the recurring question of the body. In this research, the body is as much an object as an instrument: the performer's body - the staged body - the highlighted body; musical body - body in motion; objectified body - fantasized body; body projected, displayed, celebrated - disavowed, dissected, disembodied body.
