Laurence Bonnet

Born in Paris, in 1966.

An artist who readily defines herself as an “outsider”, Laurence Bonnet devotes herself full time to her art, in Montolieu where she lives and works. More than a choice, it is a necessity, a visceral relationship: “There is like a cord between my works and me, she says”.

Not belonging to any specific artistic movement, she favors painting with a knife, watercolor and pastel. His style, which has evolved with inspirations and experiences, draws a universe where strange characters and animals intertwine.

Laurence Bonnet has exhibited many times in galleries and institutions in France (the Halle Saint-Pierre, in Paris, Poitiers, In 3arts gallery in Metz) as well as abroad (marginal art museum in Jagodina, in Serbia, Moscow Naive Art Gallery in 2016). In China, she is represented by the Artbank gallery in Shanghai. In 2017, a personal exhibition was devoted to his work at the Musée d'art spontané in Brussels. That same year, she led educational workshops at the Cérès Franco de Montolieu Cooperative-Collection, an experience that will be renewed for the 2018 season. Her works appear in collections such as that of Cérès Franco or Frédéric Lux.
