Biography
Jean-Claude Le Gall is a French artist, born in Ker Maria (Brittany) in 1941. A Self-taught artist, he left his career of optician in 1968 to dedicate to painting and decided to move to the Island of Gorée, where he lived until 1972.
Inspired by the islands, his style is abstract and colorful. Jean-Claude Le Gall paints mainly on transparent PVC (flexible crystal), with acrylic paint on canvas and does sculptures as well.
He has exhibited his work in Senegal, Canberra, Toronto, Paris, Mauritius and Reunion. Jean-Claude Le Gall is also the creator of the clothing brand called "Eponyme".
