Biography

Erwan Wire, aka Waner is a French artist born in 1978.

After studying at the Faculty of visual arts and a training at Ecoles d'Arts Appliqués, he joined an Advertising Marketing agency as a graphic designer and illustrator.

Initially interested by painting and illustration, he quickly turned towards the world of comic strips and discovered graffiti and street art in the Parisian region and developed a passion for this. Inspired by painting and calligraphy, his work is dynamic and spontaneous, it is based on promptness of gestures and movement. He uses a great variety of mediums like canvas, zinc, wood, plexiglass, glass or clay, and develops his unique style.

He pushed this approach to the extreme and turned towards a more abstract universe, giving importance to rhythm and gestures, combining lines and curves and providing an almost musical dynamic to his compositions.

A multidisciplinary artist, he has participated in several artistic events throughout the world (Germany, Belgium, Burkina Faso and Canada).
