Biography

Antoine d'Agata is a French photographer born in Marseille on November 19, 1961. He studied photography in the US at the International Center of Photography in New York.

At the age of 17, he became interested in the punk and anarchist movements in Marseille. He left France shortly after to study photography by taking photography courses with Larry Clark and Nan Goldin and then became a reporter for the editorial department of Magnum Photos.

In 2001 he obtained the Niepce Prize given to young photographers, his work has been exhibited in several renowned events such as the" Recontres d'Arles" in 2009. Since then, he directed a short film and a feature film (in Japan). He has conducted as well several workshops, imparted several photography courses and participated in conferences around the world.
