For more than 45 years, and now installed in Charente Maritime, I have created introspective paintings, sometimes at the gates of abstraction, in order to make you want to stop the moment, to give yourself time to taste, smell, feel, and thus capture the essence of things and places. 

I do not paint to represent, but to suggest, extract the sensations and bring out the buried memory of the initial chaos, filtered through my imagination. 

Translating an atmosphere is the support of my work, and to express it, I do not hesitate to use several techniques on the same canvas (oil, colored pencil, collage, knife, brush, transfer ...). Make the invisible sweat!
