Louise Ternat was born in 1993 in Rouen. She lives and works in Paris. During several years, she studied plastic arts and applied arts. Today, she is interested about animated cinema and decorative arts in Paris.
Passionate about drawing since her childhood, Louise Terant expresses on paper the love and disgust that she feels for the human being. She draws comic strips that depict everyday life moments. The characters are never to their advantage without proportion, they generally adopt animal poses or features. The drawings are accompanied of scathing and humorous commentaries, that reflect the critical look that the artist has toward humanity, life and society.
She works in black ink, and combines weight, color and special formats to the embossing.
Her collection of drawings called "Retourne ta Toile de Jute les Palourdes sont Sèches" perfectly summarizes her style.
