Ingrid Stübinger

Ingrid Stübinger was born in 1961 in Germany and grew up in the Black Forest. After her studies in Letters and Fine Arts, she moved to Paris where she still lives and works today.

Despite his many trips in search of the perfect pattern, Ingrid Stübinger's work remains deeply marked by the countryside of her early childhood. The play of light and darkness, the vast expanses without humanities, the scenes of isolated children or the portraits of cows belong to a silent world which invites introspection.

Whatever the motive, the quest is that of an interior place that Ingrid Stübinger seeks to approach during a total immersion. She often works in a serial fashion, seeking to cross the layers of materiality and the visible to approach through different means the essence of her motif.

This process of transformation, of superposition or of dissolution takes place through determined, rapid, vigorous, almost instinctive touches of dense and luminous colors. It is marked by permanent risk-taking and graphic and chromatic tensions.

Ingrid Stübinger's painting opens a gap, as if to better invite us to these moments of unity between the painter and his motif.
